This quest is available once you defeat the Ancient Dragon on Normal difficulty and turn in any quest, or finish the Hermit quest chain in the Lost Woods for the second time. Within the game menu, this quest is preceded by Rite of Passage.
Description[]
The kidnapping of village girls by vampires has still not stopped, and the mayor of the village has asked a vampire hunter to exterminate the vampires.
The church who rules over the region has put up a demon-repelling barrier, but it has not had the desired effect. This makes the church look like they are making promises that they can't honor.
I want you, as a holy knight of the church, to go and kill the vampires off before the vampire hunter can get there.

You defeated the vampires for the church before the hunters could get to them.
Strategy[]
At Castle of the Dead: Catacombs path A, defeat the Vampires, under 2 minutes. Use their weakness to humanoid and lightning damage. This quest is easier to complete if you do it with a full party, particularly with a higher level than the boss. You can also try to tackle this quest along with Save the Seamstresses as you will probably benefit from doing both at the same time by saving time and effort.
