This quest is available once you defeat the Ancient Dragon on Normal difficulty and turn in any quest, or finish the Hermit quest chain in the Lost Woods for the second time. Within the game menu, this quest is preceded by Dead Master's Party and followed by Informer.
Description[]
In the ruins in the ancient temple, there are wall paintings of strange beings. They seem like they may be depicting great sea serpents, legendary creatures spoken of in ancient times.
Their habit, as recorded in the old texts, is presently teeming with kraken, so researchers cannot investigate the area.
Go there on behalf of the scientists and see if there's any indication that the great sea serpents once roamed there.

Strategy[]
In order to complete the quest, you have to drop the battle against the Kraken at the end of Ghost Ship Cove path B. Just stay alive until the time to defeat the Kraken runs out and the Kraken breaks the three pillars of the cave. You will wash out to a screen with a rare looking fish on the land. Click on the fish with the cursor to complete the mission. It's best to do this quest offline to avoid other players killing the Kraken and to do it with alone, with local players or with a low-level party of NPCs.
