The fungi incubation experiment was held in an environment protected from the effects of magic by tripling the normal amount of sacred barriers.
The fungi did not grow like the myconids, but neither did they grow to be poisonous. At the same time, it was discovered that the taste of the non-poisonous fungi is quite terrible.
While the results disappointed the gourmands, the researchers don't seem to be deterred. They will continue their fungus research regardless.
